Anarcho Haiku
by Birk Andersson

  • av Sara Therese Lundstedt

This is Birk Andersson’s first collection of haiku in English. Several of the poems have been translated from his earlier books in Swedish.

Andersson has had several English haiku published in haiku journals and anthologies, but many of those poems are not in this book, because friends, relatives, colleagues, audiences, and himself, did not appreciate them enough. Instead, this book is filled with anarchic haiku, that hopefully can spread haiku to the masses.

If you are used to haiku, this book contains neither traditional nor free nor abstract haiku.

If you are used to current poetry, this book contains neither visual nor experimental poetry, neither spoken word nor pictures.

If you are not used to haiku or poetry, you do not have to worry about a thing – this book contains anarchic haiku.
